Bondi Beach in Australia

Bondi Beach Australia is probably one of the most iconic beaches in Australia for any surfing event and you can check the scores in real time using surfing app. Lets face it, you’ve probably watched “Bondi Rescue” on the TV and seen rugged Aussie blokes rescues damsels in distress. Or perhaps you’ve heard travellers telling some of their best stories about the place. Which ever it is, Bondi attracts the crowds in their droves. Bondi Beach is only about one kilometer long. Tourists surf this beach within all seasons of the year. Southern part of this beach is hazardous but northern part is safer. Red and yellow flags signal the hazardous and safer areas.

Most are surprised by the size of Bondi. It is a large crescent shaped beach and great if you love surfing. It’s not the place I’d choose to learn to surf though as the waves are pretty big. Why not sit and watch the experts instead.

Four Mile Beach off Port Douglas in North Queensland is another Australian tropical paradise. Likewise watch out for crocs at the Southern End and stay in the nets during stinger season and ‘you’ll be right mate’.

Annual races, beauty pageants, skateboarding competitions, cafes, the shopping experience at the ‘Bondi Beach Market’ on Sundays and filming of movies add further colour to this sun kissed beach of the southern hemisphere making it a real crowd puller in spite of its unseen hazards. The staunch followers of the English cricket team, the ‘barmy army’, is known to enjoy the cloudless summer days and beer at Bondi Beach, which is also patronized by backpackers, residents and tourists alike.
